The Lamorna Society promotes appreciation of the Lamorna Valley in West Cornwall, its literature, social and natural history and the many artists associated with it including those from Newlyn and St Ives.

1. The Lamorna Society was formed in 1997 following the exhibition of Lamorna Birch's work at Falmouth. This was inspired by the biography of Birch, A Painter Laureate, by Austin Wormleighton.

2. Lamorna Birch (1911) 'Its impossible to go out rabbit shooting any more because I find there's a woman artist sitting behind every gorse bush.'

3. Birch's grandson, the late Adam Kerr was the Society's first  patron. Here he raises a glass to the Society at one of the meetings at Lamorna.
